This workshop is designed to help singles learn the key to building successful relationships, all based on Dr. John Gottman’s New York Times bestseller, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. Although originally written for married couples, the Seven Principles have become universal, helping romantic partners of all stages strengthen their connections. Straightforward yet profound, these principles teach proven methods to manage conflict, create common ground, and achieve greater levels of connection and intimacy.

All work is done in a psycho-educational format to support discussion, encourage small and large group exercises, and spark personal reflection.Â

Yes. While the Lessons in Love Singles Workshops are hosted by The Gottman Institute which is based in Seattle, Leaders are now around the worldÂ

Do you provide discounts or scholarships to attend?
Please check with your Lessons in Love Leader and/or event organizer directly to verify their scholarship or discount opportunities.
I am a professional and would like to host my own Lessons in Love Singles Workshop. What should I do?
You may sign up for the Lessons in Love Leader Training to host your own Singles Workshop in your community.
Will I be left on my own during exercises or will I receive assistance?
The Lessons in Love Singles Workshop is a psycho-educational course rather than group therapy. Lessons in Love Leaders are available to answer questions and clarify exercises, but they will not be providing therapeutic assistance.
There are small and large group exercises that we highly recommend to participate in, but it is not required.
What languages are Lessons in Love Singles materials currently available in?
The Lessons in Love Singles materials are provided in English. The Gottman Institute is not currently accepting requests to translate the Lessons in Love materials into additional languages.
Do I have to be looking for a future romantic relationship to attend this workshop?
No! This singles workshop does have a dating section, but much of the material is applicable to family dynamics, friendships, work-based relationships, and others can learn helpful information from this course.
