Frequently Asked Questions
Will John Gottman personally be conducting the workshop?
Live Bringing Baby Home Parent Workshops are presented by Educators who have completed the Bringing Baby Home Educator Training. These are professionals in your community who want to help parents and families through the transition to parenthood.
The on-demand Bringing Baby Home Parent Workshop is hosted by Joni Parthemer, MEd, and Julie Blackburn, who are both Bringing Baby Home Training Specialists. Joni Parthemer was a member of the original Bringing Baby Home research team.
Can we attend the workshop even if we aren’t married?
We strongly encourage all parents who are committed to creating a happy and health environment for their child(dren) to grow in. This includes parents who are married, in committed relationships, dating, co-parenting in separate households, single parents, and more.
If you do not have a partner to attend with you, we highly recommend bringing a trusted family member, friend, or caregiver who will be an integral part of your child’s life to attend as well.
Is this workshop appropriate for LGBTQ couples?
Yes. We welcome all families. While some of the workshop language is heteronormative, our curriculum does include research data on same-sex relationships.
Is the cost per person or per family?
Per family.

I’d love to come to your workshop, but my partner is a private person and is not comfortable sharing in a group setting. Is there public disclosure?

Will we be left on our own or will we receive assistance?
