Lauren Stockly, LCSW, RPT-S,ECMHS, PPSC, is a child and adolescent mental health therapist who specializes in using play therapy to treat trauma and support emotional growth for children and families. In addition to her practice, She is the author of the children’s book “Be Mindful of Monsters” and the founder of Bumble BLS, a new line of kid-friendly EMDR tools with a free app.
Lauren also runs a popular website called CreativePlayTherapist.com, where she provides free resources and ideas for child therapists and serves on the California Association for Play Therapy’s board. During the pandemic, she launched a tele-play therapy Facebook group, which has now provided support for over 11,000 therapists.
For her most recent project, Lauren is partnering with Cognitive Leap to create a digital medicine app for children with ADHD. The 12-week program for ages 6 to 13 will incorporate the work of Dr. Ned Hallowell, a leading ADHD expert and Cognitive Lead board member, and will feature activities designed for kids and parents to support therapeutic progress between sessions.
